Bubble tea has become a phenomenon in the world of refreshments in more recent times, but it is far from being a new trend. In fact, bubble tea has been on the menu in Taiwan, and in many more locations across Asia, since the early 1980’s. The first bubble tea café in the UK opened in Soho during April 2011 and by the start of 2024, over a thousand more “Boba Shops” have started much the same journey as we have here at Bobo’s World.
Our combined café and coffee shop in Orpington has already built a loyal following of bubble tea drinkers from the Beckenham, Bromley, Locksbottom and South East London areas who can’t resist this one-of-a kind refreshment.
We import the finest ingredients from Taiwan so that you can enjoy the same authentic Asian experience but within much easier reach of home. Choose from a choice of exclusive flavours that we have created to suit the tastes of our customers, and which you can relax and enjoy in a fun, creative setting.
And, if you want to enjoy bubble tea at home, we can make you a Boba Box onsite with a selection of different flavours from our exciting menu.
What Does Bubble Tea Contain?
The base of our bubble tea is organic and brewed freshly in-house daily. A choice of freshly cooked tapiocas and pearls allows Bobo’s World to create unique handcrafted drinks which you can personally customise with plant-based organic milks to suit your preferences when it comes to sweetness.

You can stop in at our café and coffee shop to drink bubble tea for your own enjoyment, or to buy as a refreshment while you take in an immersive world of arts and crafts where Bobo’s World makes you the artist. If you would like to take part in a public or private fluid bear painting class and enjoy a bubble tea while you are with us, please remember to make a booking in advance.
Because we also host children’s parties and require adults to attend, there is always an opportunity to sample our bubble teas while you are with us.
